Back in the late 70's Star Wars was released and it was huge. So huge that everyone was looking for the next Star Wars.

Sandy Frank saw his opportunity in a popular Japanese animated show named Gatchaman. He bought the rights, reedited and redubbed the episodes and thus was born Battle of the Planets.

But there's a lot more to the story...
